So, I’ve been in a bit of a rut. A routine. A bit stagnant. Not moving backwards, not moving forward. Not sure why but I’d imagine that it has something to do with all the thoughts and ideas that I have in my mind that I just haven’t been able to get onto paper… because I don’t really want to move to the next thing until I finish this thing!
A bit ago, I wrote about goal setting and finishing this year strong. Well, like I mentioned, I’m in a bit of a rut. So impulsively as I type, I’m deciding to get out of the rut and try something different every day for the next 21 days (through the end of the month). I think I have plenty of ideas to choose from… starting with 100 ways to develop your mind.
Here are few that I like:
8. Dance When There’s Nobody There
I love to dance (around the house)… let go of your inhibitions.
27. Give Someone A Gift For No Reason
Giving is always fun.
56. Sing Your Heart Out
I love to sing (in the shower) so this one should be fun…
63. Have A Sleep In
Not a big fan since there is always something to do but I’ll give this one a shot…
69. Exercise Your Mind Not Just Your Body
Guess I just manufactured a reason to play sudoku and words with friends!
100. Read The Dictionary
Who can’t appreciate “the word of the day” … think I’ll go look for an droid app for this right now!
Clearly, that’s more than just a few but as you can see there are tons of great suggestions to sharpening the mind and getting out of a rut if you’re in one, like me.
Cheers to de-rutting & mind building!
